WebFX welcomes BUAMA to their ever growing Harrisburg campus to learn about digital marketing.
This wasn't the BUAMA's first time visiting WebFx. This was the 4th time. Located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, WebFx has many accolades, their biggest one is being the #1 Place to work in all of Pennsylvania. Also in the last five years, WebFx has generated over $1.5 billion for their clients. Going to WebFx over the years enabled BUAMA members to see the development of a business throughout the years.
The first year that we visited, WebFx only had one building, their "mansion". During that trip we saw a tour of the building and participated in a club wide question and answer with some of WebFx's top employees. The second year, took a tour again but this time it was different. WebFx was growing so fast, they had to acquire the building next to them to expand into. This newly renovated building housed their digital marketing team, the fastest growing part of the company. The difference between year one and two were massive. The third time, they weren't phsyically expanding but they certainly were internally. During this visit we we able to gain professional advice during their 'careers' day. Sitting down with us and doing a resume critique, breakout sessions and a talk from the companies CEO it was a busy day.
This year, when we visited, we were curious to see what kind of changes they were making. Certainly they couldn't be expanding right? We were wrong! When we arrived we took the usual tour of their two buildings, we saw some improvements they made, like the desks where they allow you to bring your dog to work or the private telephone booths for personal calls, both which were suggested by WebFx employees! About halfway through our tour, WebFx told us that they were expanding again! They had purchased not one but two houses behind them and were in the process of converting them into now what they call the WebFx Campus. During that time they also told us they were looking to fill those two houses with more digital marketing employees. As college marketing students, we were glad to hear that. With everything that WebFx has going for them, WebFx is the perfect place to work!
Thank you to the WebFx team for accommodating us for another great year. BUAMA plans to return to WebFx for a 5th year to see the expansion of their campus as well as learn from the talented team and explore employment and intern opportunities in the future!
